Destiny Network became the tangible manifestation of my personal journey. My vision loss began when I was 10 years old with the diagnosis of Stargardt’s disease. The progression of my vision loss began! Over the years I’ve had to learn new ways to cope with each advancing stage of my vision loss. .

Both of my parents were born deaf, so as I was raised, I observed the variety of ways that they and their deaf friends coped with their disability. I also absorbed the invaluable "never say I can't" attitude modeled by my parents. In 1991 I earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree. In 1999, I confronted a diagnosis of leukemia. Miraculously, my sister's bone marrow transplant saved my life, further emphasizing the fragility and preciousness of existence.

Later in life, I became deeply involved with family members and friends struggling with addiction. Despite my professional experience in the substance abuse field, it was challenging to remain detached with love. My journey led me to the 12-step program Alanon , initiating a profound spiritual exploration. Through this fellowship, I realized that by synthesizing my education and experiences, I could create something impactful. Destiny Network is not just a sense of purpose; it's an obligation as I fulfill my own destiny. This endeavor is a deeply rooted experience - a journey marked by resilience, gratitude, and unwavering belief in the potential for positive change

My vision for Destiny Net-Work is to build a community of caring, compassionate , confident coaches who will guide others who are struggling to find their source of purpose and light.
